Colder than the poles

According to the Winnipeg Free Press of Thursday, January 15, 2009, Winnipeg was colder than the North and South poles last Wednesday morning.

The temperature of North pole 6am Wednesday January 14 was -27C degree and that of South pole at the same time was -26C degree while Winnipeg was -34C degree with the Wind chill, it was -50C degree.

I was out there at that time, and felt it was so cold. 😦

According to the Environment Canada, the coldest day of Winnipeg was February 18th, 1966 and the temperature was -45C degree (this is not the Wind chill but the real temperature).

But probably by the global warming, recent years we did not have under -35C degree. And it will be warmer on the weekend. Some forecast said it would be up to 0 or +2 (believe it or not).
