Big Christmas gift

I have a friend, who was Air Force Canada officer and he told me that he would give me a futon when I moved to my apartment. Futon is a piece of furniture which becomes a bed when it is unfolded, and a couch folded.

He is now a long haul truck driver and away from home two or three weeks. And because the futon is big, it needs a truck to be carried, and his car is Mazda which is not a pickup truck. So he asked of his comrade who is soldier now, and he got permit. One day, my friend came back from long trip and called his friend just to find out he went to Afghanistan. 😦

His friend in Afghanistan told him to get a key from his wife and my friend tried to contact her many times but failed. I guesses that the wife would be in Scotland. Because her husband is away from home for long and she is from Scotland. 😦

And then, mother-in-law of my friend had to go to hospital for her cancer, and stayed at his house with other families of his wife. So he needed the futon for a while. Finally his mother-in-law and all the families went back to their home, and he found a pee stain made by his eight-year old nephew.

Any way, I met him 27 December (the next day of Boxing Day) and he just bought me a new futon at Walmart. Wow! And he also bought me a coffee maker, and its filters, and also a bottle of coffee.

Wow, wow, wow, I got so big gifts. 🙂

Thanks be to God, and also to my friend.

  3. I whipped up a few papercuts to give as Christmas gifts and am pretty pleased with how they turned out.
