Tarzan

Private Kim, whom I met at the military HQ, likes Tarzan movie quite much. His favourite part is that Jane wakes him by touching and tickling the eyelids.

Well, he also married several years ago and his wife knew that he has some kind of fantasy about that scene of Tarzan.

One morning in the honey moon, his wife tried to wake him up by tickling his eyelids. But having too much trouble always on getting up in the morning, he said unconsciously:

What a f**k!

Five seconds later, he found himself kneeling down before her and begging the forgiveness.

군대에서 만난 김일병은 타잔 영화를 좋아하는데, 그 중에서도 가장 좋아하는 장면은 제인이 속눈썹을 간질이며 타잔을 깨우는 부분이었다.

그런 김일병도 결혼을 했고, 부인도 김일병이 타잔의 그 장면에 일종의 환상을 갖고 있는 걸 알고 있었다.

그래서 신혼초 어느날 아침에, 부인이 영화에서 처럼 눈썹을 간지르며 김일병을 깨웠는데, 아침잠이 너무 많은 김일병은 비몽사몽간에 이런 독백을 하고 만다:

I, C8 진짜.

5초후 김일병은 무릎을 꿇고 싹싹 빌고 있었다고 한다.

Winnipeggers welcome the global warming

These days we are having series of warm weather. Today, it was 3C above freezing point!

It is unbelievable that the temperature of early February is above zero (February has been coldest month in Winnipeg throughout the history). So many people are saying weird, not normal, strange, unusual… But all of them like it for now. I like it too.

We know the global warming is extremely bad but for now, we enjoy it. If you have -30C temperature, then you would welcome the global warming too, I am pretty sure.

But the sidewalk is covered with ice and water (which was snow) and is extremely slippery. Every single pedestrian is like acrobat or dancer. Now, Winnipeg is the city of acrobats or dancers.

요즘 날씨가 굉장히 따뜻하다. 오늘은 영상 3도였다!

2월초 날씨가 영상이라니 믿기  힘들 정도다 (2월은 역사적으로 위니펙에서 가장 추운 달이다). 많은 사람들이, 희안하다, 비정상이다, 이상하다, 등등 말을  하지만, 모두들 좋아하고 있다. 나도 물론 좋다.

지구 온난화가 나쁜 건 알지만, 지금 당장은 즐기고 있다. 영하 30도 날씨를 경험한 사람이라면 누구나 지구 온난화를 반길 것이라고 확신한다.

인도는 얼음과 물로 덮여 있는데 (전엔 눈이었지만) 그래서 굉장히 미끄럽다. 모든 보행자가 마치 곡예하는 듯, 또는 춤추는 듯 하다. 현재, 위니펙은 댄서 또는 곡예사의 도시다.

Persecutor’s office

These days, the Korean Prosecutor’s office doing bad things. They are lying for the power, killing the innocent powerless.

Now, the Prosecutor’s office looks like Persecutor’s office.

God, show your justice to them and to all evil doers.

요즘 떡찰이 정말 나쁜 짓을 한다. 정권을 위해 거짓말 하여 무고한 사람을 죽인다.

검찰청이 영어로 Prosecutor’s office던데, 내 눈엔 Persecutor’s office (박해자/학대자 사무실)로 보인다.

주님의 정의를 떡찰과 악행하는 모든 이에게 보이소서.

Rank in a school

I understand the mothers love to praise their kids. But….

I met very many Korean ladies saying their kid ranked number 1 in the school. But as long as I know, the schools does not rank the students. They tell the school marks but not the ranking. How did they know?

But the gold medal goes to another one who said his boy ranked number 1 in the country. I just said WOW!

엄마들이 자식 자랑하길 좋아하는 건 알지만…

여기 캐나다에서 자기 자식이 전교 1등이라는 아줌마들을 많이 만났다. 문제는, 내가 아는 한 캐나다 학교는 등수를 매기지 않는다는 것이다. 시험 점수는 나오지만 등수는 모른다. 어떻게 알았을까?

하지만 금메달을 딴 분은, 자기 아들이 전국 1등이라는 분이다. 내가 그냥 그분 면전에 대고 감탄해 줬다. -_-

Warmth of -10

Last Friday, I went to MTS Centre for Moose hockey game, and out on the street I found many people did not wear hats, mitts, and heavy jackets. I also found some youngsters eating 7-Eleven slurpee!

What do you guess the temperature was? It was -10C. Come to Winnipeg and feel the warmth of -10.

지난 금요일에 무스 하키 게임을 보러 MTS 센터에 갔는데 길거리에서 사람들을 보니 모자나 장갑을 끼지 않았고, 두꺼운 잠바도 입지 않았다. 몇몇 청소년들은 7일레븐 슬러피(얼음갈은 주스?)를 먹고 있었다.

온도가 몇도 였을까? -10도였다. 위니펙에 와서 -10가 얼마나 따스한지 느껴보길.
